Randall A. Bauman
As managing partner and a lead trial attorney at Eckenrode – Bauman, Randy Bauman focuses his practice on civil litigation, representing business owners, and addressing clients’ estate planning needs.
Throughout his career, Randy has routinely handled complex litigation matters from outset to conclusion. Also, Mr. Bauman’s practice includes representing professionals before licensing boards and in administrative disciplinary actions. With over 30 years of trial experience, Randy’s litigation practice focuses on defending physicians, nurse practitioners, and other health care professionals and their businesses in cases alleging medical negligence along with defending companies and individuals against a variety of claims of tort liability. In addition, Randy has tried numerous cases related to business disputes, product liability, and estate issues.
From initial involvement, Randy’s team prepares and handles each of the firm’s cases as if it is to be tried to verdict. That type of work ethic is a major element of the firm’s culture and, as a result, when a case proceeds to trial, Randy and the trial team are prepared to achieve outstanding results for our clients. By the same token, the firm’s approach in preparing every case as though it will be tried to jury verdict often allows for clients of Eckenrode-Bauman to reach favorable results prior to trial through negotiation, mediation, or other forms of alternative dispute resolution.
Soon after merging his practice into Eckenrode-Maupin in 2022, Randy tried four (4) complex medical negligence cases to jury verdict. Each of those jury trials resulted in a favorable outcome for the physician defendant with two of the verdicts reported as 2022 Top Defense Wins in Missouri. That type of success continues, i.e., in 2024 Randy’s trial team was able to secure a unanimous defense verdict for a St. Louis podiatrist in a case seeking in excess of $1,000,000.00 in damages.
In addition to a busy litigation practice, Randy also represents individuals and business owners in a variety of legal endeavors including estate planning/asset protection, business consulting, contract review, and real estate matters.
